Day
(1): TRIPOLI
Upon arrival at the Tripoli airport, customs formalities and transfer
to the hotel (5 stars). Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day
(2): TRIPOLI-LEPTIS MAGNA – TRIPOLI (Domestic Fly)-BENGHAZI
Breakfast. Departure to Leptis Magna (about 120 km), Founded by the Phoenicians
in the VII Th century B.C., it’s the birth-place of Emperor Septimius
Severus, he had huge buildings erected and decorated with beautiful marble
and colored stucco. Visiting the site along the sea coast. Lunch at restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Archaeological Museum and the amphitheater.
Return to Tripoli to fly to Benghazi. Dinner and overnight at the hotel
(5 star).
Day (3): BENGHAZI – TOLMITHA”PTOLEMAIS”-QASR
LIBYA-SOUSA
Breakfast, Departure (about 160km, northeast), to visit Ptolemais, ‘interesting
ancient city known for its very large water Cisterns, it was established
to serve as a port for the city of Barce in the interior of the plateau.
It started gaining importance after the death of Alexander the Great in
322 B.C. Lunch at Tolmitha, Proceed (about 45km east), to visit Qasr Libya,”The
original name of this site was Olbia our information dates back to the
V century B.C. Gasr Libya is famous for its two Early Christian churches;
the best preserved one is in the shape of a Greek cross, the other is
the most important one because of its well preserved mosaic floor ranking
among the greatest masterpieces of the Byzantine period in North Africa”.
Late afternoon arrival at Sousa, Dinner and overnight at hotel (4 star).

(4): SOUSA –CYRENE –APOLLONIA -SOUSA
Breakfast, Departure to Cyrene to visit the ruins of this huge ancient
Greek city founded by immigrants from the island of Thera in the VII century
B. C. Visit the museum next to the site, Lunch at restaurant, proceed
to Apollonia to visit this ancient coastal city that served as a port
to Cyrene, and the Byzantine basilicas by the sea, Dinner and overnight
at hotel.
Day (5): SOUSA –TOKRA”TEUCHIRA”-BENGHAZI
(D.Fly)- TRIPOLI
Breakfast. Departure to Benghazi (about 230 km), stop along the way to
visit Tocra “which was founded by the Greeks around 510 B.C. and
was called Teuchira. When the Ptolemies of Egypt conquered Cyrenaica in
the III century the town was renamed Arsinoe in honor of Ptolemy II’s
wife and finally Cleopatris after the daughter of Mark Anthony and Cleopatra.
The Ptolemaic period was a time of great prosperity for Teuchirr”.
Lunch at restaurant; continue to Benghazi, short tour in the city, proceed
to the airport for departure to Tripoli, Dinner and overnight at hotel.

(6): TRIPOLI-SABATHA- SABHA (Domestic Flight)
Breakfast. Departure (about 70 km), to Sabratha, founded by the Phoenicians
was a commercial centre in the VII Th century B.C., visit the museum with
its magnificent mosaics then to the ancient city famous for its theatre.
Lunch at restaurant. in the afternoon return to Tripoli to fly to Sabha.
Dinner and overnight at hotel (2 star).

(7): SABHA – GARMA-DOWADA “great sand sea”
Breakfast. Departure S.W Sabha (about 160 km), to Garma, that was founded
by a Libyan tribe called Garamantes, it was a trading post linking Libya
to Africa.They resisted the Roman influence, and one of the most important
sites is the recently organized museum that houses all the important human
aspect of the desert area. Lunch at restaurant; proceed to Dowada sand
sea, where more than 14 lakes are spread between huge sand dunes, the
lakes of Gabroun & Um-Al Ma, are the largest and most famous at the
region,dinner and over night camping .

(8): DOWADA–UBARI- ALAWAYNAT -ADAD–ACACUS MOUNTAIN
Breakfast. Departure (about 325 km),Stop at Al Awaynat village for lunch
,proceed to Adad the gate way to Acacus region , an infinite variety of
landscapes, where areas of stony ground alternate with huge expanses of
rock worn smooth by the wind and enormous sand dunes that meet the horizon.
Dinner and over night camp.
Day
(9), (10), (11): ACACUS MOUNTAIN
Breakfast. Drive to discover a number of caves that have interesting depiction
of the round head civilization that dates back to 12000 years. The cave
art is generally well preserved and is regarded as one of the finest in
Africa, some show the Garamantes warriors in their famous four horse chariots.
The acacus mountain area is one of the highlights of Libya. Even without
its cave paintings it would be one of the most stunning parts of the Sahara
because of the wild beauty of its terrain.. Picnic lunch en-route, dinner
and over night camp.
Day
(12): ACACUS MOUNTAIN- UBARI-- SABHA (Domestic Flight)-TRIPOLI
Breakfast. Departure (about 325 km), to Garma, lunch at restaurant, proceed
to Sabha airport to fly back to Tripoli. Dinner and over night at hotel
(5 star).
Day
(13): TRIPOLI CITY TOUR
Breakfast. Morning free for resting and relaxing. Lunch in restaurant.
In the afternoon, city tour: starting with the victory arch of Marcus
Aurilus , the Buildings of the British and the French consulates, the
Karamanly house ,the catholic church of Santa Maria, Al Nagah Mosque,
the Medina Sougs and bazaars, the castle and the Italian style buildings
along the sea shore. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day
(14): TRIPOLI -DEPARTURE
Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and departure.
